Ball State students focus a problem on the nation

Thursday’s presentation of Focus the Nation, presented by the Ball State organization of Students for a Sustainable Campus (SSC), was a nationwide global warming learning event.

Led by outgoing President Nadia Roumie and current President Carissa Buchholz, Ball State’s Council on the Environment gave the SSC the green light to hold the global warming presentation. SSC, which is entirely made up of students, recruited over 50 Ball State staff, faculty and also community members and joined them with over 1700 other college campuses and high schools.

After receiving the endorsement from COTE and Ball State President Jo Ann Gora, this group of undergraduate students planned the entire all-day event.
